Ping K15 Driver

 

The Ping K15 driver features patent pending Straigt Flight Technology that uses an extreme external weight pad to move 10% of the clubhead mass towards the heel. By repositioning the centre of gravity this provides a natural rotation through impact. The design of the K15 driver means that the external sole weight pad is largely concealed.

The K15 has a larger 460cc head design that moves weight away from the clubface to push the centre of gravity backwards and provide a higher trajectory. By increasing the length from heel to toe Ping have also been able to create a larger surface to provide high levels of forgiveness and higher ball velocity.

 

In reality, the K15 Driver is very much a replacement for the G10 Draw model.  Unlike the G15 or I15, the K15 features what PING calls “Straight Flight Technology” or SFT.   SFT is PING-speak for “we moved 10% of the total clubhead mass toward the heel of the club”.  PING has made that extra weight visible via a slight bumpout which is visible on the clubhead (occasionally so at address).  While the I15 is for better players, and the G15 is probably a good fit for most of the rest of the golfing population, the Ping K15 Driver is specifically designed to help those golfers who struggle to contain their big fade, or slice as it’s more commonly called.
 

 

The Ping K15 Driverhas an elongated head design that combines with an external weight pad to position the center of gravity for higher launching and longer carry drives. It is engineered with Straight Flight Technology (SFT) which promotes natural club head rotation by concentrating approximately 10% of the head mass towards the heel. A larger face increases forgiveness and ball velocity for greater distance and accuracy.
